2nd Climate Smart Disaster Resilience ASEAN (CSDRA2020) International Conference
Solar Research Institute (SRI) with Environment and Climate Change Research Institute (ECCRI) Philippines, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) are going to organize 2nd Climate Smart Disaster Resilience ASEAN (CSDRA) International Conference on 26 October 2020. The event is presented in collaboration with ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN Foundation, USAID, Malaysia Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) and UiTM Holdings.
The conference aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, scholars, government agencies, non-government organizations, and other stakeholders to share their experiences and research results on aspects of climate change and disaster risks in South East Asia. This international conference provides trans-disciplinary platforms for relevant stakeholders to present and discuss policy, innovations, financing, trends, and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered in the field of climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and management.
4th ASEAN Science Diplomats Assembly (SDA 2020)
The 4th ASEAN Diplomatic Science Assembly with the theme “Empowering Science and Technology Leaders for Smart ASEAN”, was designed to facilitate discussions between scientists and policy makers and to strengthen the integration of science and diplomacy in ASEAN.
SDA is an event designed to facilitate discussions between scientists and policymakers about programs, research priorities, and their funding opportunities. The event will allow scientists to interact with decision makers from the Executive and Legislative Branches to broaden participants ’perspectives on how science and policy can interact to improve decision making. The event will include small group discussions, interactive activities, one-on-one networking, skills development in policy communication, and panels around a variety of topics as well as policy recommendations and briefings.
